Nordcrewing Lanka (Private) Limited, recruits qualified and competent personnel to the fleet of vessels owned and managed by Reederei NORD Group. This fleet includes containers, tankers and bulkers with an existing community of Sri Lankan seafarers onboard. Orion presently operates a modern fleet of nearly 20 bulk carriers. The fleet has generally – but not exclusively – been employed in the global tramp trade, primarily transporting grain, coal, iron ore, fertilizers, and all types of steel cargoes. Total deadweight capacity of the fleet is over 3 million tons, with individual vessel capacity ranging from 40,000 to 180,000 dwt. In 2025 Orion carried about 20 million tons of cargo, and the ships made around 1,000 port calls.
